SLG Annual General Meeting

SLG group's AGM 8.00pm Bread and Roses. The AGM is usually reasonably short, giving time to
socialise afterwards. The Bread and Roses pub is at 68 Clapham Manor Street, SW4 6DZ, a turning off
Clapham High Street. (tubes: Clapham North and Clapham Common) or Clapham High St (Overground).

SLG VISIT Turner's House Richmond

The artist JMW Turner designed this house for himself at 40 Sandycoombe Rd, TW1 2LR, ( dates from 1813 ). We have a Guided Tour arranged at 3pm, £6 admission, but we need numbers in advance, book by 30 September. Optional lunch at 1pm in the Crown pub 174 Richmond Rd, TW1 2NH [St Margarets Station]. Meet in the pub or else meet Basil outside Richmond Station at 12.30pm, Buses 490, H22, R68, R70 from Richmond run a regular service past the pub.

SLG Visit to London Museum of Water and steam

Join SLG group for an optional lunch (12:30) at the Express Tavern, 56 Kew Bridge Rd, Brentford TW8 0EW , Train from Clapham Junc at 12:02. to Kew Bridge (Hounslow train) Then at 2.15pm visit Brentford Steam Museum, Green Dragon Lane, Brentford, TW8 0EN. Displays Victorian water engineering including a 90 inch Cornish steam engine. The exhibits detail the history of London’s water supply in a fascinating way. Tickets £8, concs £7.Non diners meet at the Museum entrance at 2.15pm.

SLG FILM Sudden Fear

Join SLG members at Waterloo to see 'SUDDEN FEAR' . Joan Crawford stars as a Broadway playwright who discovers her husband is plotting to murder her.British Film Institute, Southbank, SE1 8XT. Meet by Box Office by 6.10pm. Tickets £7.20 (concs). Film starts 6.20.
