Trans Dayof Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance

TransPALS' annual event to mark the international Transgender Day of Remembrance. Join us for readings, music, and to hear the names and remember all trans people who lost their lives over the last year. TDOR lets us remember and raise awareness of hate crimes against trans people. From its beginnings in the United States in 1999, events to commemorate the day are now held in over 180 cities in over 20 countries. All welcome, just come to the main Town Hall entrance. Please arrive from 2:30 for a 3pm start.

Trans Day of Remembrance event (Croydon)

1pm for 2pm start. Organised by TransPALS together with Aurora. The Ceremony of Remembrance, in which a candle is lit in remembrance of each named murder victim, will be in a quiet, private space in Bernard Weatherill House with music and poetry. After the ceremony there will be a time to meet socially over refreshments. Please phone Rachel: 07918 602 333 or e-mail info@transpals.org.uk so we have an idea of numbers.
