Croydon Pridefest

The festival this year will be in Wandle Park. Those taking part in the Pridefest March will assemble in High Street, close to the entrance to the St George's Walk arcade from 11.30 am. The march will proceed from there to the main Pridefest site in Wandle Park. More details have yet to be announced.

SLG/ CAGS Joint pub/walk

Optional lunch 12.30pm in The Postal Order, Westow Street SE19 3RW (Wetherspoons). Leave the pub by 1.40pm to be on time for the walk which starts at 1.55pm outside Crystal Palace Station and ends at North Dulwich station. A pleasant GSWG walk that takes in Crystal Palace Park, a disused railway line and Dulwich Park. 4.5 miles, The walk is undulating and might be muddy. A stop for tea/coffee in Dulwich Park cafe.

FILM: Call Me By My Name

Set in 1983 Italy, this drama tells of the summer that will forever alter the lives of two young men. Mature and sensitive Elio is a 17-year on holiday with his family at their villa in Northern Italy. Each year, his father, a university professor, invites a student to work with him and stay with his family. This year it’s Oliver. Elio becomes deeply fascinated by Oliver’s beauty and manners. Among beautiful scenery, they discover an awakening desire for each other.

A Cup of LGBT History

Join Surrey Heritage and Outline, Surrey's LGBT organisation for a cup of LGBT history to celebrate LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans) History Month. As well as free coffee and cake there will be talks about popular 1920s and 1930s music hall performers Gwen Farrar and Norah Blaney, Surrey History Centre and Outline.
